ClimEmpower experts were present at the conference “Climate Change and the Influence of Catastrophic Risks on the Economy” held in Zagreb, Croatia, on September 24th, 2024. The conference highlighted the importance of climate change adaptation, risk assessment, and early warning systems. It was also concluded that climate services and sub-seasonal weather forecasts could greatly impact the economic consequences of climate change present in agriculture.
Another important message that was shared as part of the conference was the need to address the issue together instead of approaching it just from the angle of profitability.
