Initial Conference: Presentation of the ClimEmpower Project
The Initial Conference, organized by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Osijek- Baranja County, was held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in Economic center Osijek. On the Conference were invited relevant stakeholders from the University, Industry, the Public Sector, Family farms and small produces.
The Head of Department mr.sc. Romeo Jukić presented the ClimEmpower Horizon Project. He explained the role of Osijek-Baranja County in the Project and expectations from the Project. ClimEmpower will analyze local weather and climate conditions and their effect on agricultural production in the area of Osijek-Baranja County.
The project will help transfer data and knowledge to key stakeholders and the interested public that will include the private and public sectors that can help address the climate change issues we face through adaptation and mitigation measures.
After the presentation, conclusion of the discussion was that our region needs quality data base for more successfull response to climate changes.
